Description
Fluke 718Ex Pressure Calibrator Repair
The Fluke 718Ex is an intrinsically safe pressure calibrator — a hazardous-area-rated version of the 718 with a built-in pump that generates pressure/vacuum, measures pressure with an internal sensor plus the mA loop signal, to calibrate pressure transmitters in Ex/hazardous environments. Its precision lives in the pump, the internal pressure sensor, and the mA circuit, with intrinsic-safety integrity that must be preserved through repair.
FlukeMeterRepair.com repairs and calibrates the Fluke 718Ex for oil & gas and hazardous-area instrument teams.
Common Fluke 718Ex problems we fix
- Pump / pressure-hold faults — a worn pump or seals that stop it generating or holding pressure, serviced.
- Pressure-sensor drift — the internal sensor drifting out of spec, recalibrated against standards.
- mA source/measure faults — the loop measurement or source drifting, recalibrated.
- Over-pressure damage — sensor damage from an over-range event, assessed and repaired.
- Display or battery faults — serviced while preserving intrinsic-safety integrity.
FAQs
My 718Ex won’t build or hold pressure — fixable? Yes. Pump and sensor faults are repairable and recalibrated against our reference standards so pressure and mA are accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate and intrinsic-safety integrity preserved.
Is the full range verified? Yes — pressure and mA are checked against our standards.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or request service.
