Description
Fluke 787B ProcessMeter Repair
The Fluke 787B is a ProcessMeter — it combines a true-RMS digital multimeter with a loop calibrator, measuring and sourcing 4–20 mA (with 24 V loop power) plus full DMM functions, to troubleshoot and calibrate process loops. Its accuracy depends on the DMM measurement circuitry and the mA source/measure circuit, which is where service and calibration focus.
FlukeMeterRepair.com repairs and calibrates the Fluke 787B for process-control and instrumentation technicians.
Common Fluke 787B problems we fix
- Display-segment fading — missing or dim display segments, repaired.
- mA source/measure out of spec — the loop source or measurement drifting, recalibrated against standards.
- DMM function faults — a multimeter function dead or inaccurate, often after an overload, repaired and recalibrated.
- Input protection blown — repaired after a miswire.
- Battery or terminal faults.
FAQs
My 787B display is fading or a function is off — fixable? Yes. Display, DMM, and mA faults are repairable, then the meter is recalibrated so multimeter and loop functions read accurately, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Do you calibrate both the meter and loop functions? Yes — all functions are checked against our standards.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or request service.

One of our Fluke 787 multimeters had a flaky display, as some of the digits came and went until half of the display was blank. Sent to June Company, and they repaired and calibrated the multimeter quickly with paperwork.
