Description
Fluke 9500B Oscilloscope Calibrator Repair
The Fluke 9500B is an oscilloscope calibrator — a metrology-grade source that generates precise fast-edge, leveled-sine, time-marker, and amplitude signals (through active heads) to calibrate oscilloscopes’ vertical, timebase, and bandwidth performance. Its faults concentrate in the active heads, the internal reference, the output stages, and the head/relay switching.
FlukeMeterRepair.com repairs and calibrates the Fluke 9500B for calibration labs servicing oscilloscopes.
Common Fluke 9500B problems we fix
- Reference-source recalibration — the reference drifting so scope-cal signals are off, recalibrated against standards.
- Output-amplifier faults — an output stage or active head not producing correct signals, repaired.
- Relay / head-switching failures — the head or routing relays not switching, repaired.
- Fast-edge / leveled-sine faults — those critical scope-cal functions degraded, restored.
- Communication or display faults.
FAQs
My 9500B head or output is faulty — fixable? Yes. Head, output-stage, and reference faults are repairable, then the calibrator is recalibrated so the scopes you calibrate are trustworthy, with a NIST-traceable certificate. (Send affected heads with the mainframe.)
Are the heads verified? Yes — heads and signals are checked against our standards.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or request service.

Ron Dennison –
Our Fluke 9500B oscilloscope calibrator stopped working with 4 different error codes. June Company repair our Megger meters and began to work with them with our other testers. When one of our testers needs to get in front of others in the repair process, they do a great job listening to our needs. They put this calibrator in front, and repaired the calibrator, and returned quickly. Much appreciated Gregory!
