Fluke Insulation Tester Repair

Fluke insulation testers are specialized instruments used to measure the insulation resistance of electrical wiring, cables, motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment. Insulation resistance testing is crucial for assessing the integrity of insulation materials and detecting potential faults or deterioration that could lead to electrical hazards or equipment failure. Here are some key Fluke insulation tester products and their functionalities:
  1. Fluke 1507 and 1503 Insulation Testers:
    • Functionality: Handheld insulation testers for basic insulation resistance testing.
    • Features: Measure insulation resistance up to 10 GΩ (1507) or 2 GΩ (1503) with test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, and 1000V. Includes continuity testing and voltage measurement capabilities.
    • Applications: Used for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems, motors, transformers, and cables.
  2. Fluke 1587 and 1587 FC Insulation Multimeters:
    • Functionality: Combination insulation testers and digital multimeters (DMMs) for comprehensive testing.
    • Features: Measure insulation resistance, continuity, voltage, capacitance, and temperature. Provide True-RMS AC voltage and current measurements. Some models offer Bluetooth connectivity (1587 FC) for data logging and remote monitoring.
    • Applications: Ideal for electricians and maintenance technicians performing insulation testing, troubleshooting electrical faults, and verifying electrical safety in industrial and commercial installations.
  3. Fluke 1550C and 1555 Insulation Resistance Testers:
    • Functionality: High-voltage insulation resistance testers for testing large motors, generators, and high-voltage equipment.
    • Features: Offer insulation resistance testing up to 5 TΩ (1550C) or 10 TΩ (1555) with test voltages ranging from 250V to 15 kV. Provide digital display of test results and built-in memory for data storage.
    • Applications: Used in utilities, power generation, and heavy industrial environments for testing insulation resistance in high-voltage equipment and cables.
  4. Fluke 500 Series Battery Analyzers:
    • Functionality: Battery testers with insulation resistance testing capabilities for assessing the condition of battery insulation.
    • Features: Measure insulation resistance and conductance of battery packs and cells. Some models offer impedance testing and charge/discharge cycle testing.
    • Applications: Used in battery manufacturing, maintenance, and service for evaluating battery health, predicting performance, and ensuring safety.
  5. Fluke 6500 Portable Appliance Tester (PAT):
    • Functionality: Combination tester for electrical safety testing of portable appliances, including insulation resistance testing.
    • Features: Performs insulation resistance, earth bond, leakage current, and polarity tests on appliances. Offers predefined test sequences and data storage capabilities.
    • Applications: Used by electricians, facilities managers, and safety inspectors to ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations for portable appliances.

  1. Stacey Jones

Our Fluke 1555 outputs readings became erratic slowly. It became obvious we could not trust the readings, so we had to send in for repair and calibration. We were very content with the process with the emails, repair inquiry, repair estimate, repair invoice. All very situated and concise as well as the results received when our insulation tester was returned. IOS-9001 certification was in order as well.
