Description

Fluke 196B ScopeMeter Repair

The Fluke 196B is a rugged handheld ScopeMeter — a 100 MHz two-channel portable scope-plus-meter (190B series) with isolated inputs for industrial field troubleshooting on power and electronic systems. As a field-carried instrument, its faults concentrate in the isolated input front-ends, the display, and the battery/power section.

FlukeMeterRepair.com repairs and calibrates the Fluke 196B for industrial maintenance and field-service teams.

Common Fluke 196B problems we fix

  • Display degradation — a dim, blank, or degraded display, repaired.
  • A channel dead, noisy, or inaccurate — isolated front-end damage from an over-range input, repaired and recalibrated.
  • Won’t power on or hold a charge — the aging battery pack and power section, serviced.
  • Trigger faults — unstable or wrong triggering, corrected.
  • Input or connector faults.

FAQs

My 196B display is degrading — fixable? Yes. Display and isolated-input faults are repairable, then the channels are recalibrated so measurements are accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.

Are the inputs recalibrated? Yes — both channels are checked against our standards.

Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or request service.

Our Fluke 196 scopemeter lost lines. We tried to use it to record power measurements and the lines were not on the meter. June Company did a great job repairing our Fluke scopemeter and also offered NIST calibration for our ISO-9001 program.
