Fluke 190-202/S Scopemeter Repair

ScopeMeters live in places bench instruments never go, and it shows in how they fail. Most of what we see traces back to something that was connected to them once. FlukeMeterRepair.com works on Fluke instruments and nothing else, which means the Fluke 190-202/S Scopemeter is not an unfamiliar model to us.

Symptoms we see on the Fluke 190-202/S Scopemeter

  • One channel is dead, noisy, or reads differently from the other – input front-end damage, usually from a single over-range event.
  • It will not trigger, or the trace will not hold still.
  • Amplitude is wrong on some ranges and right on others – range-switching relays, which wear from use rather than abuse.
  • The display has dimmed, banded, or gone dark.
  • It runs on the charger but not on the battery.
  • Keys need pressing hard, or have stopped working entirely.

What the repair involves

Each channel is tested independently through its full range set, since front-ends fail one at a time. On the isolated-input models the isolation barrier is tested directly – a unit with degraded isolation displays perfectly and is no longer safe for floating measurements. Everything is repaired at component level rather than by swapping assemblies, and the measured results come back with the instrument.

Before you ship it

Send the probes and leads you use with it. Probe faults account for a fair share of what gets diagnosed as instrument faults, and testing without them leaves the question open.

Evaluation is free and you get a firm quote before any work starts. Every repair carries a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or use the repair request form.

Our Fluke scopemeter lost its display making it inoperative for us. We contacted June Company about our repair and they assured us they had parts in stock. I am very glad with the outcome so I sent in another. I will stay with them for the far future as they know these scopemeters very well.
